To lead the translation of data into trusted insights, reusable data products, and measurable business outcomes across the Farm Bureau Family of Companies. To establish and execute the enterprise data and analytics strategy; leads business intelligence, advanced analytics, data governance, data quality, metadata, lineage, stewardship and data literacy; and ensures the organization's data investments support underwriting, claims, actuarial, distribution, customer and agent experiences, operational efficiency, legacy modernization, artificial intelligence, and profitable growth. To lead efforts across data analytics, data enablement, and data governance , ensuring data and data products are accessible, trusted, well-managed, and leveraged as a strategic asset across the company. The Director partners closely with Enterprise Architecture, Data Engineering, Information Security, Infrastructure, application teams, and business data owners to ensure enterprise data is governed, accessible, reliable, secure, and reusable. The role also provides product leadership for the enterprise data platform and its portfolio of data products, prioritizing investments based on business value, risk, reuse, and strategic alignment, and improving operational outcomes throughout the company.
Define and lead the enterprise data vision aligned with business objectives.
Establish a strategic roadmap for data, analytics, and governance capabilities across the enterprise.
Ensure the organization effectively executes and sustains the data vision, driving measurable business outcomes.
Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on data analytics, enablement, and governance topics and corporate projects.
Oversee the development and delivery of advanced analytics capabilities, reporting, and business intelligence solutions.
Required
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data Management, Business Data Analytics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related data field required.
10+ years of progressive experience in data, analytics, or information management roles.
5+ years in a leadership role managing data analytics, data governance, business intelligence, or related data-focused teams.
Demonstrated experience building and executing enterprise data strategies.
Experience with data governance frameworks, data quality programs, and regulatory compliance in insurance.
Proven track record delivering analytics solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
Prior experience within property & casualty insurance is strongly preferred.
