Kitchen Staff / Dishwasher

Location: Palo Alto, CA
Schedule: 100% Onsite, 5 Days/Week
Pay Rate: $32.00/hour
Duration: 6 Month Contract to Hire

About the Role

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Staff / Dishwasher to support onsite dining operations in a fast-paced corporate dining environment. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen while supporting the culinary team to ensure exceptional service for employees and guests.

The ideal candidate takes pride in creating a safe and efficient workspace, works well in a team environment, and thrives in high-volume food service operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout kitchen, dishwashing, and storage areas
• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
• Safely use cleaning chemicals and sanitation products
• Assist kitchen staff with general support duties as needed
• Remove trash, clean workstations, and ensure all areas remain organized throughout shifts
• Support a positive, team-oriented dining environment

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years of dishwashing, sanitization, or kitchen support experience in a restaurant, cafeteria, hospitality, food service, or corporate dining environment
• Experience maintaining clean and sanitary work areas
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating commercial dishwashing equipment
• Previous experience with Sodexo, Aramark, Compass Group, corporate dining programs, or high-volume independent restaurants
• Familiarity with health department and food service regulations
